Make My Life A Sacrifice
So I am now sitting at Hogan once again... where I come when I need to do online work....
Week 3 of uni for me starts on Monday.. another LOOOOOOOOONG semester.. doing psych.. I have concluded.. u need to be nuts as well to be a psychiatrist. Though I like paeds and O&G more, I must admit that psych is frightfully interesting. We are always hiding in the nurses' station.. cos that's the safest place to be. It's like being in a big fish bowl.. the patients are always staring in.. that is when they are not banging on the doors or rattling the main door to get out. We actually have special keys that unlock every door in the psych dept.. and we are instructed.. watch when you leave the wards! Don't let anyone out. We have tutes every morning when we are on rotation. One of the tutors is really quite funny. He can imitate all the various psych disorders really really well. I have been really tempted to stand at the glass pane and stare back at the patients when they come and stare at us. Unfortunately, I have been advised not to.
Went for my first GP placement as well. My GP told me I can go in whenever I like, leave whenever I like and do whatever I like. He even told me if I wanted NOT to go in, I could. He said going for GP placements won't help me pass my exams. Studying would. Anyways, he sent me home after 1 hour. Mind you, I went in at 2pm! Most of my friends had to go to their GPs at 9am!!! His practice nurse has promised I can draw as much blood as I want next week.. heehee.... Oh.. and just about a month ago.. one of the GPs at that practice got STABBED and MURDERED by a psychotic patient... sheesh.. thanks Monash!
I like my day back in uni... feels good to be back having lectures and sitting in CMHSE once again.. after so many years....
I am so tired... it's Saturday... I want a longer weekend.....
