I am trying to apply for my elective for my final year. That would be next year. This neverending course of mine is actually coming to an end! Whopee!!!


So.. I really want to go to a 3rd world country. Top of my list are India and Thailand. India cos it supposedly has really good medical schools. Thailand as the church is there cos I cannot imagine being unchurched for 6 weeks. My problem.. finding websites for the medical schools for these countries. The Indian ones are hard to find.. the Thai ones are in Thai.

I want to do infectious diseases. Tropical. Cos you don't get that at all here in squeaky clean, first-world, very liveable Australia.


My next choice would be Vietnam or Africa. Africa's really expensive and apparently they don't know what to do with med students in Vietnam.


Last resort.. Kuching.


Last last LAST resort... go home. There I save on accommodation... cos I will be back in my own room. I just hope I can get used to public transport again.


I think I'm actually a little more inclined to Thailand. Haha.. as I was telling Swee today.. that means I might have to wear the Thai Unis uniform for 6 weeks! Save me the daily stress of what to wear.


India is very tempting too.


I also am looking at UK.. Scotland. Maybe I should try Ireland cos they say Irish medical schools are fantastic.
