Make My Life A Sacrifice
I really wish I went home for the hols. It really doesn't feel like a new year cos I didn't go home. Oh wells, I will be back in June. Fingers crossed.
Need to go to church for set-up soon. I really feel like having a bubble tea. Will see about that one.
We're doing the book of Judges for devotional as a church using the new CONNECT journals. It's a pretty interesting book. Different from the previous ones. It's lot more deep and hard to follow. I have been falling asleep hugging the book and my bible. Recently it's been talking about the Israelites. The different tribes of Israel who had a command from God to take over the promised land and chase out the Canaanites. Instead, a lot of the tribes invaded the promise land. But instead of taking it over entirely, they allowed the previous occupants to share the land with them, and some even used them as slaves. Partial obedience. It may seem like an ancient story, but it really does exist in our world today. A lot of times, we compromise with God cos we want to choose the easy way out.
Recently, I guess I really have come to a point where I think following God wholeheartedly is not as easy as it seems. A lot of times it will cost us where we feel it. Our time, our money or even giving up something or some part of us that we do not want to.
Ruth talked abotu Frankston today. She says she needs people who can go all the way. Not people who will back out on her halfway. Cos starting a new cg is serious business.
