I got jabbed again today... this time at the back of my right hand. In the vein that the doctor said was very nice. It was a nice vein that bifurcated. Those veins are good to cannulate cos they are naturally tethered down. As such, they don't run about when u stick the needle in. Well, but most unfortunately for Kenneth who was trying to stick the needle in, that vein was also small. So he didn't get the cannula into the vein.

It hurt again.. it's more of the pressure when the person is looking around to see if the needle is in the vein. I did 2 unsuccessfully on Kenneth and Tim. I reckon the old type cannulas without the retractable needle are easier to use than the new ones. The new ones are rather clunky and hard to manouveur around.

We are so sadistic. Also very desperate to finish up the portfolio requirements. Venepuncture next. Who'd like some blood drawn? :)
