Make My Life A Sacrifice
Well...the holidays are ending. It's back to school tomorrow! Won't whinge about it cos it's not right to complain. Had a pretty good hols. Even if I didn't study much and I totally wrecked my sleeping pattern.
But I got a new friend. Her name..well..they all call her Brownie and I love her heaps. Even if she smells quite a bit and looks like a miniature wombat. She lives in a bird cage...cos the previous occupant died. And she is currently hiding in a tissue box cos she has what we call a self-esteem problem..or maybe she's just plain shy lah. Cleaned out her home just now..boy does it smell.
Went with Rachel to VicMart to get her yesterday..$10...met David there..had lunch and came back...set up the cage for her...when Ruth finally got up..she couldn't find the pig cos she was hiding under all the hay....had to dig her out.....went to nap for a bit after then work up when I found Ruth standing in my room telling me about dinner arrangements..Ruth was at home cos she was so sick she didn't go for leaders CDS...she didn't go for meeting today either..poor girl...no voice and fever..she looks so pale too... she was joking yesterday that she probably lost her voice from scolding people too much..anyways...went for dinner at Hoa Tran with Ruth and Phil..came back cooked church dinner then watched Pink Panther with Ruth till 12 plus...
Church today was ok....got to sit thru praise and worship but not the entire sermon cos I was on kitchen duty...CDS was good..think I am gonna enjoy this term..except that I managed to slice my finger while filing CDS notes for Julia...Owww...came home and slept...so cold today..so the pig is in my room tonite.
Some pictures from convention....
Elena, Auntie Daisy, Myself, Ruth & Swee at convention in Brisbane...
My care group, or at least part of it plus some extras, in the main pavillion at convention...
Last day lunch..or what we did to it...
Sure wish I could go back...
Well...apart from the mundane stuff...I guess....hmmm..I wrote Ruth a long letter that night telling her how I feel about my spiritual walk and all. Well, in a way..I think I will always pull through..cos I have God. As we learnt today..we should praise God all the time..cos God is always good no matter what our circumstances are....
I will come and bow down at Your feet Lord Jesus
In Your presence is fullness of joy
There is nothing, there is no one who compares with You
I take pleasure in worshipping You Lord
